Day 11 and unstoppable!

Hello all! We have now arrived at day 11 since I was placed in isolation and my immune system is making good progress! See the schedule below and take a good look at the last 3 days (D + 9 to D + 11).

Incredibly beautiful growth in the last 3 days!

On day D + 7 my immune system was almost completely flat with a leukocyte value of 0,03. We have grown enormously in the last 3 days and we are at a value of 1,8! Another doubling compared to yesterday and even almost 4x as high as the value I had when I went into the insulation (D0 in essence, then it was 0,5).

What is especially nice to see is that my platelets are now finally starting to grow well and have also doubled!

Infusion with Rituximab

I am now working on one of the last steps of the process here, my infusion with Rituximab. This is used to detect and switch off as many of the last incorrect (MS containing) B and T cells as possible, so that I leave for home as 'clean as possible'…. A long sit…. This infusion should drip very slowly and takes about five and a half hours to run all the way through!

Then even more good news: the doctor is very satisfied with today's values and has indicated that my immune system will be strong enough tomorrow to even take a walk outside, really great! Of course, stay on and on the site with a mask ... But hey, fresh air!

All signals are good and the chance is 99,9% that I can fly back home with my parents on 11 March!

Daneen is time for phase 2 of the process…. The rehabilitation…. I'll see if I can tell you more about this tomorrow. This is it for now!

Greetings, Stephan

    • Thank you so much! Today I really walked outside, fully enjoyed. The new blog is now ready, you can read all about it!

      Love, Stephan

  • Super good man, congratulations !! What is actually a healthy number of leukocytes? So when will you be completely old again?

    • Hi Peter,

Thanks am very happy with it! A healthy number of leukocytes is in a margin of 4 to 10 (4 is really the lower limit of a healthy immune system). If we then take the number 4 as an example, it means 4 million (or billion, not 100 certainly which of the 2) leukocytes per liter of blood. 3,48 was today's measurement for me and is therefore quite close! The doctor expects me to pass the 4 tomorrow too!

  • FANTASTIC NEWS !! You are going to look back
on this period of your life and be so smooth you never
