Developments during day 5 of the insulation

The day started like everyone else with connecting to some drips, taking blood and taking some body values. These values were all fine, so no surprises!

Later in the day all blood values were updated on the overview, as you can see below.

The result of the blood values

The leukocytes still drop a little further towards the zero point and the hemoglobin values are nicely stable. What is striking is that the number of platelets falls even further and as I indicated earlier, '10' is a bit the lower limit that you would rather not fall below. As you can see I am now at 13 and so it is starting to get very close.

Too low a number of platelets means that the blood cannot clot properly and therefore gives some extra risks in matters such as cuts / blood loss. Don't worry, it's no need to panic. I feel fine and tomorrow there is expected to be a blood transfusion (for platelets) to increase this again.

Again: I am in very good hands here and I am not worried about anything 🙂 For now I will stick to this update, tomorrow you will hear from me what happened and how it went!

Greetings, Stephan

A candle is lit here every night for your Stephan. Even if you do not know me, I have been living with your mother's stories for a while. I think you are a hunk and here you are being thumbed. Gr. Mirjam
